UnitingCare Disability

UnitingCare Disability plays a lead role in the provision and development of services for people with disabilities and their families, as part of the UnitingCare Children, Young People and Families Service Group of UnitingCare NSW.ACT.

Our aim is to help transform lives by creating options that enable all people to live a good life as valued citizens in their communities.

To achieve this, UnitingCare Disability works in partnership with individuals, families and carers, as they build and pursue their goals and dreams, as well as assists local communities to strengthen their capacity to fully include people with disabilities.

In 2010/2011, UnitingCare Disability worked together with nearly 300 people with disabilities. The majority of clients have an intellectual disability, however assistance is offered for a broad range of primary disabilities, including autism, psychiatric, neurological, hearing, vision, acquired brain injury, physical and specific learning disabilities.
